Don't take a sickie!.............sickie = taking the day of work but you are not sick, but you tell your boss sick.
Invite some mates to barbie........mates = friends ; barbie = barbecue
You might buy a new pair of undies at the supermarket.....undies = under wear
We're all banana benders in Queensland.....banana benders = Queenslander, wh0 lives in Queensland
Blokes like the footy......blokes = s-men ; footy = Australia football
Girls put on lippie in the ladies......lippie = lip stick
In Australia some restaurants are BYO......BYO = Bring YourOwn alcohol
